PLEASE NOTE: All prices shown are in USD.
Join us in the peaceful surrounds of the Maitripa Centre, nestled in the rolling hills of Victoria, Australia, for a deep and immersive journey into the foundations of Classical Tantrik Yoga.
At the heart of Tantrik Yoga lies a radically affirming view: that every part of you—your thoughts, your desires, your struggles, your joy—is an expression of the sacred. Through powerful self-inquiry, energy body practices, awareness cultivation, and interactive satsangs, we’ll explore what it means to truly see clearly, to move beyond our conditioned filters and open into intimacy with Being. We’ll explore how classical Tantra differs from Hatha Yoga, neo-Tantra and other contemporary spiritual paths, while engaging in accessible philosophical teachings, group discussion, and guided practices designed to bring the teachings out of the abstract and into your body and your felt experience.
This retreat is an invitation to step into a living tradition that embraces the fullness of life. Rooted in the non-dual teachings of Shaiva Tantra, Tantrik Yoga offers a radically different approach—one that is not aimed at transcendence or escape, but at embodied awakening in the midst of everyday experience.
Some themes and teachings we’ll explore together include:
-
The core orientation and view of Tantrik Yoga
-
How Tantrik Yoga integrates the mystical and the material
-
Embodied liberation (jīvanmukti) : awakening within everyday life
-
Shedding limiting beliefs and misconceptions
-
Embracing the full spectrum of human experience
-
Practices with mantra, visualization, breath, and subtle body awareness
-
Cultivating intimacy with reality beyond concept and conditioning
You’ll be supported by a kind-hearted community (kula), nourishing vegetarian meals, and the beautiful, natural environment of Maitripa Centre. Whether you’re new to Tantra or looking to deepen your roots, this retreat offers a potent and grounded entry point into a tradition that welcomes all of who you are.
Please note: The retreat is phone-free to support deeper presence; an emergency contact will be available for loved ones.
