April 1 - 6, 2027
A Spanda-kārikā inspired retreat
(Please note, while the retreat leans on the kārikā for inspiration, it is not a textual retreat and it will not unpack the text in detail).
Embark on a profound journey of self-discovery at our transformative retreat nestled in the stunning landscape of Mount Madonna, California. Surrounded by lush forests, breathtaking vistas, and a serene atmosphere, this retreat invites you to step into a space of deep practice, contemplation and community.
Rooted in the teachings of non-dual Shaiva Tantra, this retreat draws inspiration from the Spanda-kārikā, an important text within the Tantric tradition that points to the subtle, vibrant pulse of consciousness at the heart of all experience. While this retreat is not a textual analysis, the kārikā’s insights will weave through our time together, offering inspiration for our practice, contemplation and exploration of awakening.
While each day is unique, throughout the retreat, we will delve into a rich variety of topics from the Tantric philosophies, and engage in energy body practices that cultivate greater awareness and a deeper intimacy with reality. We will also explore the practice of mantra, allowing these profound teachings to illuminate and deepen our practice. There will also be embodiment and somatic awareness sessions to help you ground into the immediacy of your being.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to connect with our kula, and foster meaningful relationships allowing you to build a supportive network for your ongoing journey.
Join us in the serene beauty of Mount Madonna, California, as we embark on this enriching exploration together, nurturing our understanding of the sacred traditions and practices of Classical Tantra.
Your booking includes retreat tuition, accommodation and three delicious vegetarian meals per day.
Our retreats are phone free but we provide you with an emergency contact number to share with your loved ones.
COVID: It is feasible that people on retreat may be infected or become infected with Covid. As the virus is no longer a significant threat to the majority of people, we will not isolate Covid positive students in separate accommodation. We will require Covid positive students to mask in the yoga shala and keep distance from other students. If you are Covid conscious and have health concerns related to this, please book a private room.
